Britam Insurance donates K1 Million to DAPP Malawi

DAPP Malawi received a K1 Million donation from one of the country’s leading companies in Insurance, Britam Insurance on, the 23rd of August. 

The donation, which is to go towards the purchase of desktops for DAPP Teacher Training Colleges (TTC’s) was handed over to DAPP Malawi’s Head of administration Mr Obert Makawa who thanked Britam for their timely donation. “This donation will go a long way in reducing the rate of unemployment through the training of students in our TTC’s” he said.Mr Grant Mwenechanya, chief Executive officer for Britam praised DAPP on the great work being done in the four DAPP TTC’s through the courses offered.

Through its four Teacher Training colleges (TTC’s) namely Amalika in Thyolo, Chilangoma in Blantyre, Dowa in Dowa and Mzimba TTC in Mzimba, DAPP Malawi trains and equips students to become teachers for rural primary schools as well as offering a four months tailoring course to vulnerable adolescent girls and young women to become productive and self-sufficient members of society.
